Thinner setts or “cobble heads”

Our catalog

Sawn top layers of reclaimed setts

Invest in your own piece of history

Pavés de Paris®, Pavés de Lyon®, Pavés de Versailles® reclaimed 19th century setts. These thinner setts known as « têtes de pavés » or « sett heads » with their naturally domed surfaces weathered by time,  and have their bottom layer sawn even. We saw these setts to keep only the top layer to make it possible to lay them on a floor slab that is already in place, with a shallow reservation of 7 to 10 cm. These sawn top layers of reclaimed setts will bring beauty, authenticity and charm to your projects. Irregular in shape, with an uneven surface and an incomparable natural patina, they blend perfectly with any decor and are the perfect choice for original landscaping effects.

These thinner setts are perfect for pedestrian traffic and their regular format makes them easy to lay.

These pavers are sawn on the underside to retain the natural face of the paver. With a thickness of 2 to 5cm, you can lay these paving stones on top of an existing screed or slab, or to create a paving surface that doesn’t require much depth. These paver heads are available in granite or sandstone in a range of colours and formats.
