Elevate your landscape designs with Granite or Sandstone setts
Granite setts and cobbles are enduring stone blocks that bring a touch of elegance to your home’s exterior. They serve multiple purposes, from crafting timeless cobblestone driveways to creating sophisticated walkways and enhancing flowerbeds. Their innate beauty and durability make them a lasting and practical choice for various outdoor settings. Find out more about the difference between cobbles and setts.
History and durability
Stone cobbles and setts trace their roots back to antiquity and remain among the most durable paving options available today. Their natural composition makes them incredibly resilient, especially suitable for high-traffic areas, showcasing their enduring quality throughout centuries.
Reclaimed granite setts stand out as an ideal option for driveways, courtyards, patios, pathways, or decorative features, offering an alternative to block paving. Their robust nature and enduring appeal make them a cost-effective choice, particularly in areas where demand for durable paving is high, such as driveways.
Characteristics and uses
Cobbles and setts differ in their surface shapes, with cobbles having a rectangular or oblong surface, while setts are usually more square in shape. Both types are well-suited for driveways, turning circles, courtyards, or areas susceptible to damage from frequent traffic. Additionally, they can serve decorative purposes, offering versatility in design, including cobbled borders.
Reclaimed cobbles exhibit weathered, rounded surfaces, shaped by centuries of use. Available in a variety of colors from warmer shades like beige, caramel, and ocher tones to pink and gray cooler shades.
Wide range and large stock of cobbles and setts
Our large stock comprises a diverse selection of reclaimed setts and cobblestones for sale in Sandstone and Granite, showcasing natural weathered and worn characteristics.
Additionally, our range includes new granite setts, Indian sandstone, and alpine gneiss setts, offering sharper and straight edges with various color options and customizable sizes to suit your project requirements.
These setts are not only suitable for driveways, parking areas and courtyards but also adaptable for entrance aprons, areas requiring drainage, or decorative layouts with three or five-band sett borders. Providing enhanced traction on steep slopes for both vehicles and pedestrians.
Sawn reclaimed setts
We also market the thinner sawn tops of reclaimed setts (2cm to 5cm), in sandstone or granite that have a beautifully time-polished surface and the bottom sawn even for easy positioning. These setts are the perfect choice for clients who don’t have the 20 cm in depth required to position the whole sett.
Our reclaimed kerbs known as country edging stones or kerbstones are in sandstone or granite and match the setts we market.
